This is a rare commodity. The other day I was visiting my mother at her home. She lives in an assisted living facility that is extremely nice. I happen to visit with her during her afternoon snack time, and they handed my mother a brownie. Normally this would not be a big deal for anyone, but my mother is a serious diabetic and can not have sweets. I grabbed the lady that handed her the brownie and said, “why are you giving this to my mother”? You know she can not eat that. The lady told me not to worry, the brownie is sugar free. I looked at her in amazement; this brownie looked like a normal brownie. I asked mom if I could have a bite out of curiosity. I could not believe the taste; it was moist and full of fudge. You could not tell that the brownie was sugar free. Of course I had to find out where this facility was ordering their food. I went to the front desk and asked for the dinning services manager so that I could inquire on this brownie. The manager informed me that she orders her diabetic diet desserts from Melinda Janeiro at American Quality Foods. She gave me her contact information and told me to call her. She said they have over 100 different diet desserts. I called and now receive these delicious desserts in my own home.
